'Lost' in Hawai'i

Advertiser writer Caryn Kunz first started watching "Lost" in college as a way to avoid studying. Like other Losties throughout the world, she hopes that the remainder of Season 3 will finally start to answer some burning questions, like what the heck is going on?
Posted on: March 4, 2008 at 10:26:47 am
Don't let the plane crash!

Any Lost star sightings recently? Keep your eyes peeled--production starts up again Monday, so most of them should be arriving this week. We've seen Henry Ian Cusick already, and apparently Yunjin Kim (Sun) appeared for an impromptu photo shoot on a random boat this weekend in Hawai'i Kai.

The front section prop of the plane is back in He'eia Kea. It was missing during the filming for first half of this season, so I'm thinking we're going to get yet another version of the initial crash to introduce a new character (think Nikki and Paolo from last season).

And speaking of the plane, I came across this game someone invented--the object is to keep the Oceanic Flight 815 plane from crashing. I admit, I'm pretty horrible at it, but it was strangely addicting...

Also, as chawan_cut reminds us, don't forget to check out the new Lost video game (for PS3, XBox 360, and PC)!

Last Tuesday I saw Daniel Dae Kim (Jin-Soo Kwon)driving by Ward Center as some friends and I were crossing the street to go to Cold Stone.

Hey!! I took the screen shot after about 2 tries...it's a sharp learning curve.

Still Lost: cool! I talked to him at the Hawaii International Film Festival--one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. =)

I'm a Nintendo girl all the way! We've had every system from the original to the Wii. My favorite games are RPGs, with Zelda at the top of the list. =) We also have an XBox 360 at our house. Can anyone say Halo tournament?

Caryn,
Since you like RPG's.....did you play any of the "Grand Theft Auto" or "The Elder Scrolls" series?

I like the free-roaming aspect and the diversity of gameplay of these. Not linear like some others.

"GTA IV" will be released (hopefully) on 4/29/08 for PS3 and XBox 360. Can't wait. w00t!

I played one of the Elder Scrolls (trying to remember which one), and I really liked the open format--the only problem is that I have very limited free time, and so I'd play for an hour and feel like I made pretty much NO progress and would forget all the storylines I was following when I was able to come back to it a few days later...which is why I enjoy Zelda--it's all about solving puzzles and making those connections, but easy to pick back up where you left off. One of these days I'll have the time to commit to a roaming RPG (with the help of megabucks, maybe??) ... ;)

oh, the game already came out. shows you how much i've been watching for it. i'll see when i can pick it up. unfortunate thing for these "next-gen" gaming consoles is the price for the games.

ES-III Morrowind or ES-IV Oblivion?

Yeah, I spend waaaay too much time playing these. So addicting tho.

Morrowind! That's what it was called. My brother has Oblivion, too, but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet.

chawan: I know what you mean about the price of games. I really really want to get Mario Olympics for the Wii but I just got Mario Party 8 last month AND Donkey Kong Racing...gotta draw the budget line somewhere. =)

Hey!! Enough already with all the gamer talk!! I was so excited to see there were a bunch of new Lost posts, and then it was just you-all yakking about games. Sheesh. Maybe you should start another blog!

At least we'll have a new episode tomorrow to get everybody back on track. Can't wait!!

Did you see King of Kong? That was a great movie...Anyways tonights it's all about Juliet which should be great. I think we will also hear from some of the other Others, maybe the never aging Richard Alpert.

I'm glad you mentioned that about Richard Alpert, HOP, he hasn't changed a bit since Ben first saw him as a kid. (The actor also seems really, really familiar but when I imdb'd him I couldn't find anything besides Lost that I'd seen him in.) The character's been around long enough that it seems like we should get some more drama out of him. Hopefully tonight!

RA is currently one of the main characters on Cane on CBS, which is why there is less of him this year.
