'Lost' in Hawai'i

Advertiser writer Caryn Kunz first started watching "Lost" in college as a way to avoid studying. Like other Losties throughout the world, she hopes that the remainder of Season 3 will finally start to answer some burning questions, like what the heck is going on?
Posted on: March 17, 2008 at 11:28:43 am
March madness? Try Lost madness

Basketball lovers and Losties everywhere will appreciate what The Washington Post has created: a March madness bracket system pitting Lost characters against each other in order to determine "a champion--otherwise known as the best 'Lost' character ever."

Online voting started last week (oops!), but it's not too late to put in your two cents over the next few days--it's down to the Elite 8, which are going to be tough contests: Sayid (who beat Jack) vs. Sawyer (who beat Kate!), Charlie vs. Eko (my favorite!!), Desmond vs. Rousseau, and (HA!) Ben vs. Jacob.

My picks? Sayid, EKO, Rousseau, and Jacob...although I have a feeling that Ben may make it into the championship round....

Vote now!!

(Champion to be revealed Tuesday, March 25th)

Also, check out Ryan's blog for some great shots of a Middle Eastern town created in the middle of Honolulu last week.

Anyone else spot filming recently?

thats pretty cool.
so small though.
wow, some of those matchups aren't even close!

oh, and i saw some sort of filming near Aloha Tower on Friday. It was right next to the Maritime museum by the Falls of Clyde. Don't think it was lost though. There were TONS of trailers and tents up. A little too much for a Lost production I think. Is there another show filming? I couldn't see what was printed on the director's chairs. I saw a green screen and a floating blown up lighted pontoon thing. Not sure what was going on. But I didn't see any sort of Lost type of logos or anything, so its probably something else.

I don't know about spotting any filming but from now on anytime I spot a jar of guava jelly I'll have a vision of a korean baby in my head.

Thanks for the link, Caryn!

The filming at Aloha Tower on Friday was for the Princess Kaiulani movie. More than once I've mistaken them for "LOST," since there is a lot of shared equipment and crew.

I was going to say another kind of store but Caryn would hunt me down and bury me somewhere in Kahuku.

Caryn - C'mon, you gotta admit that it did look like guava jelly.

I can't wait for the next episode! I don't watch the popup words "Lost" episode but it would be hilarious if during the birth scene the popup words mention guava jelly.

jojo,

you're sick...

or really hungry for guava jelly! ha!

i wonder if they filmed that at Kapiolani, waiting for a Korean lady to give birth and rush in there and film it. ha. the baby does look really small and young. although i don't have kids, so i have no idea what they look like when they come out. i don't remember what i looked like when i was born either.

I can't believe Sayid beat out Sawyer. Sawyer is by far my favorite character on the show with all his nicknames.

haha... guava jelly...

I'm more depressed that Charlie beat out Eko...I mean, are you serious?!! Anyway, it looks like it's going to be Sayid vs. Desmond. I predict a Desmond win.

Michael tonight, everyone! Get excited...=)
