Hawaii Kai is one of seventeen (17) single family home neighborhoods on O`ahu that the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® analyzes each month. Sales of single family residences in Hawaii Kai have been slower this year, but still healthy. In November, there were 19 sales and the median sales price was $1,040,000!

For the first eleven months of this year, sales lagged behind 2006 by 16.1%. This year, there have been 213 sales recorded in this neighborhood compared to last year's 254. The year-to-date median price is $875,000, while last year is was $870,000, an increase of a slight 0.6%. The highest price paid for a single family dwelling in Hawaii Kai during 2007 was $15,900,000.

The sales speed has slowed a bit this year to 52 days, up about a week from 46 days a year ago. In November of this year, the sales speed was 73 days.
