It admittedly wasn't a very good Senior Bowl for Colt Brennan.
Despite being named the South's captain (in voting by teammates), he played in three series — two of which ended in turnovers, including an interception.
Colt was sick last week, and lost some weight.
Now he plans to return to California to train, and to gain weight and strength. He has several more opportunities — at next month's NFL combine, at the Pro Day in mid-March, and at private workouts.
The one things scouts won't ignore is his body of work in college. There aren't many QBs as accurate as Colt.

Former UH defensive lineman Lawrence Wilson was selected by Texas in the seventh round of the All American Football League draft, our friend Jon Nielsen reported.
The Texas team is based in Houston.
The league is unique in that the commissioner is a former NCAA president, and players must have college degrees.
"One thing I want to tell everyone: Don't give up," said Wilson, who earned his bachelor's degree last May. "It's never too late to get your degree. You have to have your degree."
Wilson said he is the first college graduate in his family.
Wilson got married last July 7 — 7/7/07 — and the reception was last Saturday.

Greg McMackin is indeed committed to Hawai‘i.
Yesterday, he started house hunting.
This will be McMackin's second real estate purchase in Hawai‘i. He and his wife bought a house in 1999, his first stint as UH's defensive coordinator. They sold it when he accepted the job as Texas Tech's defensive coordinator in 2000.
Last year, when he returned as UH defensive coordinator, McMackin and his wife lived in a condo. Now as head coach, McMackin is looking to buy another house.
He owns two homes — in Lubbock and Las Vegas. He plans to sell the Lubbock house because his daughter and two grandchildren are moving from Lubbock to Honolulu.
Like his search in 1999, McMackin opted to go with Artie Wilson as his Realtor. It's a smart move. Wilson has lived in Hawai‘i since 1970, when he joined what would become the Fabulous Five basketball team.
Wilson said he thought he would live in Hawai‘i for only four years.
After earning his degree in four years, and receiving tryouts with the Portland Trail Blazers and an international team, Wilson received a post-graduate scholarship. He had planned to attend law school.
After working for the state, he earned his real estate license in 1976. Since then he has sold more than 1,000 houses.
"I love my job," Wilson said. "My main goals are to be a good husband and a great father."
Wlson also helped found the UH Letter Winners Club, and has chaired the Juvenile Diabetes foundation.
As for those youthful plans of staying here only four years? "I'm here for good," Wilson said.

For their good deeds last week, Barry Markowitz and Liz Kauai are blog captains for this week.
Liz gets "member" status for the week (or until management finds out and makes me pick up trash on the highways).
